Directions: Do not use more than directed (see Overdose Warning). Take every 4 hours; not to exceed 5 doses in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 2 teaspoons. Inactive Ingredients: Citric Acid; Edetate Disodium; FD&C Blue 1; FD&C Red 40; Flavor; Glycerin; Polyethylene Glycol; Purified Water; Sodium Benzoate; Sodium Citrate; Sorbitol; Sucrose; Each Teaspoon Contains: Sodium 5 mg Warning Do not use: in a child who is taking a preion monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if the child's prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving this product; with any other product containing acetaminophen (see Overdose Warning). Ask a doctor before use if the child has: chronic cough that lasts, or as occurs with asthma; cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus). Stop use and ask a doctor if: pain or cough gets worse or lasts more than 5 days; fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days; redness or swelling is present; new symptoms occur; sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days or occurs with fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting; cough comes back or occurs with a rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition. Make sure this product is kept well out of the reach of children. Overdose Warning: Taking more than the recommended dose can cause serious health problems, including serious liver damage. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away. Prompt medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
