Cough Suppressant Uses Temporarily relieves cough due to a cold, cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, cough to help you sleep. Directions: Children 2 to under 12 years of age: Apply to the throat or chest. Clothing should be left loose about the throat and chest to help the vapors rise to reach the nose and mouth. More than one patch may be used. Applications may be repeated up to three times daily or as directed by a doctor. May use with other cough suppressant products. Children under 2 years: Ask a doctor.
Warnings: For external use only. Flammable: Keep away from fire or flame. Do not use: near an open flame, by adding to hot water, in a microwave oven, in a container in which water is being heated. Ask a doctor before use if the child has: cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus), a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma. When using this product: do not use more than directed; do not take by mouth or place in nostrils; do not apply to eyes, wounds, or damaged skin. Stop use and ask a doctor if: cough persists for more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of serious condition; too much skin irritation occurs or gets worse. Make sure this product is kept well out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.
