Cough Suppressant, Fever Reducer, Nasal Decongestant, Pain Reliever Uses Temporarily relieves common cold/flu symptoms: minor aches, pains, headache, muscular aches, sore throat pain, fever, nasal congestion, cough. Directions: Under 6 yrs: ask a doctor. 6-11 yrs: 1 softgel with water. 12 yrs and older: 2 softgels with water. Repeat every 4 hours, not to exceed 4 doses per day or use as directed by a doctor. If taking NyQuil and DayQuil, limit total to 4 doses per day.
Warnings: Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Sore throat warning: Severe or persistent sore throat or sore throat that occurs with high fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting may be serious. Ask a doctor right away. Do not use more than 2 days or give to children under 6 years of age unless directed by a doctor. Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: heart disease, asthma, emphysema, thyroid disease, diabetes, cough associated with smoking, high blood pressure, excessive phlegm (mucus), breathing problems, persistent or chronic cough, trouble urinating due to enlarged prostate gland. When using this product: do not use more than directed; do not use with other products containing acetaminophen. Stop use and ask a doctor if: you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless; fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days; new symptoms occur; symptoms do not get better within 7 days; you need to use more than 7 days (adults) or 5 days (children); cough lasts more than 7 days (adults) or 5 days (children), comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts. These could be the signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Make sure this product is kept well out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
