Nasal Decongestant, Cough Suppressant Uses Temporarily relieves cough due to the common cold and temporarily relieves nasal congestion due to a cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. Directions: Children 2 to 3 years: 2 dropperfuls (1.6 mL) every 4-6 hours (or as directed by a physician). Children under 2: Consult a physician. DO NOT EXCEED 4 DOSES IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD. Take by mouth only. Not for nasal use.
Warnings: Do not give this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma, or where cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a physician. Likewise, do not give this product to a child who has heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, or diabetes, unless directed by a physician. Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a physician. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough or other symptoms persist, do not improve within 7 days, tend to recur, or are accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, consult a physician. Drug Interaction Precaution: Do not give this product to a child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your child's prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before giving this product. MAKE SURE THIS PRODUCT AND ALL DRUGS ARE KEPT WELL OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE OR CONTACT A POISON CONTROL CENTER IMMEDIATELY.
