Directions: Take every 6 to 8 hours. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 2 teaspoonfuls. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1 teaspoonful. Children 2 to under 6 years of age: 1/2 teaspoonful. Children under 2 years of age: ask a doctor.

Warnings: Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus); persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema. Stop use and ask a doctor if: cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Make sure this product is kept well out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
