Description: Clinically proven Zigg Lozenges. Reduces the duration and severity of the common cold. The following studies apply only to Cold-Eeze with Zigg (Zinc Gluconate Glycine), the only great tasting lozenge, proven effective in treating a common cold. A randomized, double blind placebo study, with 23 mg of Ionic Zinc in a citrus flavored lozenge, concluded that treatment of a cold with our Patented formula in symptom relief and a 42% reduction in the duration of the common cold. Results were published in the Journal of International Medical Research, Godfrey et. Al., Vol. 20, No.3, June 1992. A second, randomized, double blind placebo study, with only 13.3 mg of Ionic Zinc in a citrus flavored lozenge, concluded patients starting treatment with our Patented formula within 24 hours of the onset, taking an average of 6 lozenges per day, resulted in 42% reduction in the duration of common cold symptoms. Results were published in the Annals Of Internal Medicine Mossad, et. Al. Vol. 125, No. 2, July 15, 1996 pages 81-88.Directions: : For maximum effectiveness begin treatment at first sign of cold. Adults -Completely dissolve lozenge in mouth. Do not chew as this reduces absorption of active ingredient. Repeat every 3 to 4 hours as needed. Recommended daily dose is 6 lozenges. To avoid minor upset, do not take on an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices 1/2 hour before & after dissolving lozenge, as this will negate the effect of zinc. Otherwise drink plenty of fluids. Children - Toddlers & infants can choke on lozenges & often cannot avoid chewing them. Older children can suck one lozenge every 4 hours.Ingredients: Net contents: 18 lozenges.
