Antihistamine, Cough Suppressant, Fever Reducer, Nasal Decongestant, Pain Reliever Uses Temporarily relieves common cold/flu symptoms: pains, minor aches, muscular aches, fever, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing, cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation. Directions: Do not use in children under 12 yrs. 12 yrs and older: swallow 2 softgels with water; repeat every 6 hours; no more than 4 doses per day. If taking NyQuil and DayQuil, limit total to 4 doses per day.
Warnings: Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Sore throat warning: Severe or persistent sore throat or sore throat that occurs with high fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting may be serious. Ask a doctor right away. Do not use more than 2 days or give to children under 12 years unless directed by a doctor. Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have: high blood pressure, emphysema, asthma, persistent or chronic cough, heart disease, thyroid disease, breathing problems, excessive phlegm (mucus), glaucoma, diabetes, chronic bronchitis, cough associated with smoking, trouble urinating due to enlarged prostate gland. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers. When using this product: do not use with other products containing acetaminophen; marked drowsiness may occur; avoid alcoholic drinks; excitability may occur, especially in children; do not use more than directed; be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery; alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness. Stop use and ask a doctor if: new symptoms occur; you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless; symptoms do not get better; fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days; you need to use more than 7 days; cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts. These could be the signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Make sure this product is kept well out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
