Saline Uses For use with daily and extended wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses. Directions: Always wash and rinse your hands before handling your contact lenses. Always handle the same lens, right or left, first in order to avoid mix-ups. Clean, rinse and disinfect your lenses each time you remove them. After you clean your lens, rinse it thoroughly with ALCON SALINE SOLUTION by holding the lens between the forefinger and thumb and directing a steady stream of saline onto the lens for about 10 seconds. Heat (Thermal) Disinfection: Prepare the empty lens storage case. Wet the chambers of the case with ALCON SALINE SOLUTION. Place each lens into the correct chamber of your lens storage case. Fill the chambers, covering the lenses with ALCON SALINE SOLUTION. Tightly close the chambers of the lens storage case. Put the lens storage case into the disinfection unit and follow the directions to operate your unit. Replace the ALCON SALINE SOLUTION in your lens storage case each time lenses are stored. To avoid contamination, never touch dropper tip of bottle to any surface.
